Last week the world experienced its strongest storm in known history – with the Philippines as its worst victim. At winds estimated at 195 to 235 mph, Typhoon Haiyan (or Yolanda) first crashed into Guiuan, in Eastern Samar, then island hopped to Dulag-Tolosa and Daanbuntayan and Bantayan Island in Cebu. Thousands are left homeless, hungry or dead, survivors desperately needing food, water and medical supplies.
The Philippines needs our help. On November 24, 2013, we are organizing a benefit concert featuring live performances, music, and food at the Spirit House on 123 Lincoln Ave, Monterey Park, California 91755, to help raise funds for the victims. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to relief efforts manned by International Rescue Committee and Bagong Kulturang Pilipino, Inc. Come out and support this worthy cause!
